Who We Are

Built On Field Experience, Not Just A Storefront

5 Star Garage Door Service isn't a booking hotline that farms your Craig, AK job out to whoever's cheapest that week — we run our own crews and stand behind the work.

We'd rather explain this upfront than have a Craig, AK customer find out the hard way what "cheapest available" actually gets you.

Professional Garage Door technician working in Craig, AK

5 Star Garage Door Service keeps Craig, AK coverage tight enough for fast arrival, but inventory deep enough that a second trip for parts is rare.

We've fixed doors installed decades ago and doors installed last year — Craig, AK's mix of older and newer construction means our trucks carry parts for both.

Every 5 Star Garage Door Service crew in Craig, AK operates under active insurance that protects your property, not just ours.

Office staff double-check every Craig, AK quote against the parts a job actually needs before a technician leaves the shop.

Training doesn't stop at hiring — Craig, AK technicians go through refreshers on new opener technology and updated safety standards as they come out.

Catch It Early

Warning Signs A Craig, AK Door Is About To Fail

Catching a problem at this stage is nearly always cheaper than the breakdown that follows if it's ignored.

Metal-On-Metal Sound

A sudden bang mid-cycle often means a cable has jumped its drum.

Uneven Lift On One Side

One side lifting faster than the other usually points to uneven spring tension or a bent track.

Opener Reverses Randomly

A door that reverses right before closing usually means a misaligned safety sensor.

A quick inspection now costs far less than the breakdown that follows if any of this goes unaddressed.

Our Core Garage Door Services

Full-Scope Garage Door Coverage Across Craig, AK

From a single failed part to a full commercial door swap, 5 Star Garage Door Service's Craig, AK crews cover the whole range.

Emergency Garage Door Repair

We carry manual release tools on every emergency truck so a trapped vehicle isn't stuck waiting on the permanent fix.

Residential Repair & Spring Service

Both springs in a pair get replaced together, since a second failure typically follows the first within weeks.

Commercial Door & Operator Service

Fire-rated and high-cycle equipment get serviced to the specific code requirements those systems carry.

New Door Installation

Custom and non-standard openings get measured twice before we order, since a sizing error on a custom door is costly to fix.

Opener Installation & Repair

Chain-drive, belt-drive, and smart Wi-Fi openers — installed, repaired, and reprogrammed for Craig, AK homes and businesses.

Preventive Maintenance Plans

Commercial accounts on a maintenance contract get priority scheduling for both routine visits and emergency calls.

Whichever of these brought you here, the same Craig, AK technician standard applies — licensed, insured, and quoting a flat rate before starting.
